Why Am I The Coach For You?

My professional training started in the field of psychology; I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, a Masters in Educational Psychology, and a Doctorate in School Psychology.   In my own and the life of many others around me (both personal and professional), I noticed universal issues arising around food and healthy habits.  These challenges impact us all, no matter our age, gender, or culture.  I pursued a certificate in Holistic Nutrition in order to provide others with the information and education they needed to address their issues and meet their goals.  My training in behavioral change and motivational strategies were the foundation that I built upon with holistic health approaches, lifestyle management tools, and a broad range of dietary theories.  My experience in synthesizing and disseminating research enables me to provide individualized support to clients that meet their unique needs.  TOGETHER, we can reach your goals!

Food is often a part of our culture and a necessity in our lives.  Yet many people struggle with something we all do every single day.. eating!  

My mission is to support clients in improving their health, achieving their goals, and developing sustainable habits to live a healthy and balanced life.  I am a firm believer in bio-individuality-- what works for one person may not work for the next.  Each client is individually evaluated to determine the best, most realistic course of action.  I do not prescribe quick fix diets, I provide tools to help you be successful for the rest of your life, whether you’re seeking weight loss, enhanced athletic performance, improved digestions, or support with eating behaviors. I will provide evidence-based information on nutrition in a easily-understandable way and practical strategies that can help you change your life and your relationship with food.  My goal is to help others reach their goals and to reveal their best selves- because a healthy body is key to having a healthy life.

I have always been interested in wellness and passionate about food, but it wasn't until my own health concerns arose that I realized the healing power of nutrition.  Despite being a "healthy" eater, I suffered from high cholesterol at a young age.  I was unaware of the problematic ingredients in my food and misled by packaging that claimed foods were "all natural" or "made with natural ingredients."  Within a few months, I turned my health around by changing the way I looked at food-- it was not just for enjoyment or fuel, it was medicine.  I have cultivated a healthy, balanced relationship with food and have curated a variety of ways to plan and prepare delicious, simple, and nourishing meals.  I want to share that knowledge with as many people as I can so that they can see, it doesn't have to be complicated!  One of my keys to sustainable change is "Keep it simple!"
